Iraq Gold Prices Surge Above 955k IQD Amid Market Uptick

Gold prices in Iraq have seen an increase across both Baghdad and Erbil markets. According to a recent Shafaq News survey, gold prices are hovering above 955,000 IQD per mithqal. On Al-Nahr Street in Baghdad, the selling price for 21-carat gold stood at 960,000 IQD per five grams, while the buying price was 956,000 IQD.

The same gold sold for 945,000 IQD on Tuesday. The selling and buying prices for 21-carat Iraqi gold were recorded at 930,000 IQD and 926,000 IQD respectively. In jewelry stores, the selling price per mithqal of 21-carat Gulf gold ranged between 960,000 and 970,000 IQD.

In Erbil, prices for different carats of gold were also reported: 22-carat at 1,002,000 IQD per mithqal, 21-carat at 957,000 IQD, and 18-carat at 820,000 IQD. These increases come without any specific explanation or context from the source.
