Norsk Hydro, an aluminum producer, took a hit on Friday as J.P. Morgan downgraded its stock to Neutral from Overweight and lowered its price target to 97 Norwegian kroner from 116 kroner.

The downgrade was due to concerns over the potential impact of disrupted natural gas supply at Norsk Hydro's Alunorte alumina refinery in Brazil on Q4 earnings.

J.P. Morgan analyst Patrick Jones noted that while the disruption had a significant impact on Q3 earnings, he remains concerned about the potential for additional disruptions in Q4 if Norsk Hydro needs to secure more spot liquefied natural gas volumes.
