Kazakhstan Restores Oil Production After Attacks on Caspian Pipeline Consortium
Kazakhstan's oil production has returned to stable levels after being reduced due to attacks on the Caspian Pipeline Consortium (CPC).
The country's Ministry of Energy reported that oil production had been reduced in July as a result of incidents at the CPC, which included repeated UAV attacks on tankers.
On July 27, Kazakhstan's Ministry of Energy reported the resumption of oil transportation via the Tengiz-Novorossiysk pipeline and shipments at the marine terminal.
However, on July 30, the CPC again suspended shipments after another tanker was attacked and caught fire during loading.
Kazakhstan's Ministry of Energy reported that the country will have to revise downward its oil production plan for 2026 due to disruptions in oil shipments into the CPC system. The revised target is 96 million tons, down from 98 million tons.
