Kinross Gold Sees Revenue Soar by 29% Amid Rising Gold Price
Gold miner Kinross Gold (TSX:K) has seen its revenue soar by 29% year on year in Q2 2026, despite a 4% decline in production. The company's average realized gold price increased by about 37% to $4,480 an ounce, with costs rising far more slowly.
Kinross operates mines across the Americas and West Africa, including Tasiast in Mauritania, Paracatu in Brazil, La Coipa in Chile, and Fort Knox, Round Mountain, and Bald Mountain in the United States. Its development pipeline includes the Great Bear project in Ontario's Red Lake district and the Lobo-Marte project in Chile.
The company reported a margin of $3,131 per ounce sold, a 42% increase on the prior-year quarter. Net earnings were $844.2 million, or $0.71 per share, compared with $530.7 million a year earlier. Adjusted net earnings were $847.8 million, also $0.71 per share.
