Ksi Lisims LNG Project Hurdled by Commercialization Challenges

Commercialization is seen as a major hurdle for the Ksi Lisims LNG project in Canada, according to Rapidan Energy's Global Gas Service. The firm expects the second phase of LNG Canada, with a capacity of 14 million tons per year (Mt/y), to be sanctioned early next year, but notes that the timeline for other projects on North America's west coast is less clear.

The Ksi Lisims project, which has a capacity of 12 Mt/y, is reportedly close to making a positive final investment decision (FID). However, Rapidan Energy states that more work needs to be completed before this can happen. The firm did not provide a specific timeline for the Ksi Lisims project.
