Kuwait Crude Production Drops to 1.77mln Bpd Amid Gulf Disruptions
Kuwait's crude oil production fell by about 200,000 barrels per day in September to an average of 1.77 million bpd. This decline comes despite a broader recovery in Gulf oil shipments after disruptions caused by the Iran conflict.
The drop in production coincided with lower exports from Kuwait, with preliminary Kpler data showing crude and condensate exports averaging about 740,000 bpd in September, down from 1.2 million bpd in August.
In recent months, Gulf oil producers have exported crude through the Strait of Hormuz on tankers with their Automatic Identification System signals switched off to avoid detection and potential attacks.
