LNG Canada Expansion Project Set to Boost Canadian Gas Exports

Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney on Tuesday praised LNG Canada's decision to move forward with its Phase 2 expansion project at its liquefied natural gas terminal in Kitimat, British Columbia. The development is expected to boost Canada's gas exports.

The project will increase the terminal's capacity by approximately 50%, allowing for more natural gas to be shipped to international markets. LNG Canada had previously announced plans to expand its operations, but Tuesday's announcement marked a significant milestone in the process.
