USDA Grain Bids Show Mixed Signals Across US Regions

Cash grain bids across several key US regions moved in different directions on September 29, 2026, according to reports compiled by the USDA Agricultural Marketing Service.

In Kansas, terminal elevator bids for ordinary protein wheat were unchanged at a basis of minus 35.00 cents per bushel, with prices between 6.5575 and 6.8575 dollars per bushel after a decline of 0.1625 dollars.

In Illinois, country elevator averages in central Illinois stood at 4.88 dollars per bushel for corn and 12.54 dollars per bushel for soybeans.
