Middle East Allies Condemn Attacks on UAE Oil Tankers in Strait of Hormuz

Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and Jordan have condemned the recent attacks on two UAE-flagged oil tankers operating in the Strait of Hormuz. The Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs described the repeated attacks as a 'dangerous escalation' and a direct threat to maritime navigation and global energy supplies.

The ministry held Iran fully responsible for the consequences of these attacks, calling for their immediate cessation and compliance with relevant international law. It stressed that regional security and international navigation are a shared responsibility, adding that continued attacks cannot be accepted or tolerated.

Qatar also strongly condemned the attack, describing it as a 'blatant violation' of international law and freedom of maritime navigation. The Qatari Foreign Ministry reiterated Doha's rejection of using the Strait of Hormuz as a means of political pressure and called for its reopening without conditions.
