Middle East Oil Exports Surge to Wartime High as Saudi Shipments Rise
Oil exports from key Middle Eastern countries have reached their highest level since the US-Israeli war against Iran began in late February, driven by higher shipments from Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates.
According to preliminary data from Kpler dated September 28, oil exports rose to 16.328 million barrels per day in September, a significant increase from August's level of 14.874 million barrels per day.
Saudi Arabia, the region's largest oil exporter, saw its shipments rise by over two-fold to about 5.4 million barrels per day in September, up from 2.446 million in August.
The increase was largely due to higher shipments from the Saudi port of Ras Tanura in the Persian Gulf, which rose to about 3.25 million barrels per day compared with 929,000 in August.
