Middle East Tensions Send Georgia Gas Prices Soaring

Georgia's gas prices have been steadily increasing this week, reaching an average of $3.81 per gallon for regular gasoline as tensions in the Middle East put pressure on global oil markets.

The statewide average is up 2 cents from last week's $3.79 a gallon, according to AAA. While Georgia gas prices remain below the national average, they are still 92 cents higher than the $2.89 average recorded a year ago.

To offset these rising costs, drivers can save money by combining errands into one trip, avoiding aggressive driving, and using the AAA Mobile App to find the lowest gas prices in their area.
