Middle East Tensions Send Oil Prices Soaring Above $100
Oil prices continued to rise on September 29 as concerns over possible disruptions to crude supplies from the Middle East persisted amid the ongoing US-Iran conflict.
Brent crude climbed above $106 a barrel, while West Texas Intermediate (WTI) also moved higher, gaining $1.49 and $1.34 respectively.
According to Reuters, Brent crude futures gained 1.4% to reach $106.77 per barrel as of 03:26 GMT, with WTI rising 1.5% to $93.94 a barrel.
The continued rise in crude prices highlights the sensitivity of the global oil market to developments in the Middle East, where regional exports are already recovering from disruptions.
