Midwest Farm Groups Push FTC to Speed Up Fertilizer Industry Probe
The Federal Trade Commission (FTC) is facing pressure from farm groups across the Midwest to expedite its investigation into the US fertilizer industry. The probe, announced in May by FTC Chairman Andrew Furguson, aims to examine pricing and market concentration.
As the corn harvest begins, several agricultural associations have expressed support for the investigation, viewing it as a necessary step to address concerns about the industry's practices.
Grauerholz, a member of the National Corn Growers Association's Ethanol Action Team, has been involved in discussions with US Representative Derek Schmidt regarding the issue.
