The US stock market is experiencing mixed results today, with some indexes showing gains and others declining. The S&P 500 Index SPY has risen by +0.18%, while the Dow Jones Industrial Average DIA has dropped by -0.23%. In contrast, the Nasdaq 100 Index QQQ has surged ahead by +0.68%.

The E-mini S&P futures (ESU26) and September E-mini Nasdaq futures (NQU26) are also showing gains, with ESU26 up +0.29% and NQU26 up +0.68%. These increases can be attributed to the decline in crude oil prices, which has lowered bond yields and boosted market sentiment.

US retail sales have shown strength, rising by +1.2% month-over-month (m/m) in August, exceeding expectations of +0.8% m/m. This increase marks the largest rise in five months, with retail sales ex-autos rising by +1.4% m/m.
