West Heats Up as Southeast Natural Gas Premiums Unwind

Natural gas prices in much of the West and Appalachia strengthened on Wednesday, while Southeast premiums continued to unwind due to differing regional fundamentals.

The strengthening of Western prices was a broad trend, with various areas seeing increases. In contrast, Appalachian prices rebounded sharply after experiencing some decline earlier.

Southeast premiums, which had been elevated, kept unwinding as the market pulled in opposite directions by regional fundamentals.
