Mixed Results for Agricultural Commodity Futures on August 31
Closing markets for Monday, August 31, showed mixed results in agricultural commodity futures on the Chicago Board of Trade. Corn Futures saw a gain, with December up by 1 at $5.37 per bushel and March up half a cent at $5.52 per bushel.
Soybean Futures were less optimistic, with November down a quarter at $12.87 per bushel and January steady at $13.02 per bushel.
Wheat Futures declined, with December down 8 cents at $7.75 per bushel and March down 8 cents at $7.89 per bushel.
In the cattle market, Live Cattle Futures saw an increase, with October up $92 at $212.65 per hundredweight and December up $85 at $214.57 per hundredweight.
