Moody's Maintains Kazakhstan Credit Rating Amid Economic Diversification
Kazakhstan's credit rating remains unchanged at Baa1 with a stable outlook, according to Moody's Ratings. The agency attributes this to the country's strong fiscal position, low government debt, and high debt-servicing capacity.
The Ministry of National Economy cited Moody's assessment, which highlights Kazakhstan's flexibility in economic policymaking and its substantial buffer against external economic shocks.
Despite a decline in oil production, the country's economy continues to expand, driven by growth in manufacturing, construction, transport, and other non-oil sectors.
The agency expects continued investment in digital, transport, and energy infrastructure to support medium-term economic growth and increase the complexity of the economy.
