Nigeria's MRS filling station has raised its petrol price by N85 per litre in Abuja and its environs, making it one of the latest fuel price hikes in the country.

The new price is now at N1,395 per litre, following a market survey by Daily Post on Saturday. This is after Dangote Refinery increased its petrol price by N85 per litre to N1,350 per litre from N1,265 per litre due to a surge in crude oil prices above $100 per barrel.

This move comes as Brent and West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude oil stood at $104 and $100 per barrel, respectively, at the time of reporting. The increase by MRS means that Nigerians now buy petrol between N1,345 and N1,395 per litre in Abuja and its environs.
