Natural Gas Futures Near $3 as Heat and LNG Demand Surge
Natural gas futures took another run at $3 on Friday, thanks to warmer temperatures and increased demand for liquefied natural gas (LNG).
The market saw concentrated buying at the front of the curve, with lower production levels also supporting prices. Henry Hub cash prices, however, eased slightly.
The October contract gained 5.4 cents on Friday, while winter contracts lagged behind in terms of price increases.
