Natural Gas Trade Volume Drops 36.2% in Türkiye

The spot market for natural gas in Türkiye saw a significant decrease in trade volume on Saturday, September 19. According to data from the Energy Exchange Istanbul (EXIST), the total trade amount dropped by 36.2% to around 8.1 million liras compared to the previous day's 12.7 million lira trade.

The price of natural gas also decreased, with one thousand cubic meters costing 17,285.27 liras on Saturday. The cumulative natural gas trade volume for the day was approximately 469,000 cubic meters.

Türkiye received about 83.04 million cubic meters of natural gas on Saturday. The exchange rate at the time showed US$1 equaling 48.77 liras.
