NCGA Calls on Senate Committee to Advance Farm Bill This Week
The National Corn Growers Association (NCGA) has urged the Senate Committee on Agriculture, Nutrition and Forestry to advance the Agricultural Act of 2026 before lawmakers leave for their planned August recess.
In a letter sent on Aug. 4 to committee leadership and members, NCGA President Jed Bower emphasized the need for swift action, citing the limited time remaining for Congress to approve the legislation.
Bower highlighted the importance of the bill's inclusion of language allowing year-round sale of fuel containing 15% ethanol (E15), which would support corn growers and rural communities while reducing fuel costs for consumers.
