NGI Sees 50 Bcf Storage Increase in Latest Inventory Report
Natural gas futures traded indecisively ahead of this morning's government inventory report, despite analysts expecting a decidedly bullish headline result.
The report showed a storage increase of 50 Bcf, which was in line with market expectations. Feedgas calls averaged 19 Bcf/d, but overall demand is expected to ease further.
Analysts had predicted a large storage injection due to the warmer-than-expected weather and increased production. However, the actual result fell short of expectations, causing natural gas futures to trade indecisively.
