NNPCL Transformation Under Ojulari Boosts Public Confidence in Tinubu Administration
The Centre for Reforms and Good Governance (CRGG) has praised Bashir Bayo Ojulari, CEO of NNPCL, for transforming the national oil company's operations since his appointment on April 2, 2025.
Under Ojulari's leadership, NNPCL recorded a significant increase in revenue and profit. In the first half of 2026, the company generated ₦19.04 trillion in revenue and ₦2.28 trillion in profit after tax.
The CRGG also highlighted the growth in Nigeria's crude oil production, which reached approximately 1.73 million barrels per day in 2026, a five-year high. Additionally, work on key gas infrastructure projects advanced significantly, with the Ajaokuta-Kaduna-Kano (AKK) pipeline reaching 94% completion and the Obiafu-Obrikom-Oben (OB3) pipeline hitting 98%.
The CRGG attributed these gains to Ojulari's tenure and called on stakeholders to sustain support for the ongoing reforms, saying that his leadership has set a new standard for public-sector performance in Nigeria.
