North Dakota Oil Production Sees Slight Uptick in July

North Dakota's oil production saw a slight increase in July, rising to 1.156 million barrels per day from June's total of 1.154 million barrels.

The state's oil production comes primarily from the Bakken/Three Forks formations, accounting for 97.6% of overall output.

McKenzie County remains the largest contributor to North Dakota's oil production, with a share of 34%, followed closely by Williams, Dunn, Mountrail, and Divide counties.

The number of producing wells in North Dakota reached an all-time high of 20,072 in July, while the total number of wells completed increased from 65 in June to 96 in August.
