The National Stock Exchange (NSE) has empaneled Augmont as a key partner to promote Electronic Gold Receipts (EGRs). This partnership aims to deepen gold market participation and simplify the creation and extinguishment of EGRs.

EGRs are dematerialized securities representing ownership of physical gold stored securely in SEBI-accredited vaults. They can be traded on the exchange, allowing for price discovery and increased participation from various stakeholders, including jewellers, refiners, traders, and institutional investors.

The NSE aims to bring greater efficiency and transparency to gold trading by promoting EGRs. The partnership between NSE and Augmont will make gold investment more accessible to investors across the nation.
