NYMEX Metals Prices Plummet on September 23
The NYMEX market reported a decline in precious metal prices on September 23. The price of gold futures fell by 1.33% to $4281.30, while silver futures dropped by 2.35% to $64.38. Platinum futures also declined, down by 3.38% to $1756.70.
The NYMEX Division, one of the two trading divisions of the exchange, is responsible for trades in oil, gas, platinum, palladium, ethanol, coal, electricity, and carbon dioxide emissions. The COMEX Division, on the other hand, handles trades in gold, silver, copper, and aluminum.
The measurement unit used to express these prices is 1 troy ounce, which is equivalent to 31.1 grams.
