Oil Prices Drop as Crude Falls to $91.11 per Barrel

Crude oil prices continued to slide on October 2, 2026, with a daily price drop of $1.76 per barrel to settle at $91.11. This marks a significant decline in the commodity's value over the past day.

The Nymex MTD average, which measures the monthly average of crude oil prices, currently stands at $91.9900. In contrast, natural gas prices have seen an increase of 2.3% to settle at $3.035 per million BTU.

Gasoline prices have also seen a slight decline, decreasing by 2.7% to trade at $3.3124 per gallon. The spreads between November and December contracts as well as December and January contracts have increased, with the former standing at +1.68 and the latter at +1.61.

The Plains WTI Posting price also saw a decline of $1.76 to settle at $87.59 per barrel.
