Oil Prices Drop on Rising Middle East Supplies and Eased Red Sea Tensions
Crude oil prices are under pressure today, with November WTI crude oil (CLX26) falling by -1.27 (-1.42%) and November RBOB gasoline (RBX26) dropping by -0.0443 (-1.36%). The decline marks a one-month low for crude oil, driven by increasing oil supplies leaving the Middle East, which has eased global supply concerns.
The price drop comes as Yemeni government forces reported regaining territory from Houthi rebels near the Red Sea. This development has reduced the risk of attacks on shipping through the Red Sea, further weighing on oil prices.
Analysts note that the combination of rising supplies and reduced geopolitical tensions in the region is contributing to the downward trend in crude and gasoline prices.
