Oil Prices Slip Amid Hopes for US-Iran Truce
Oil prices have slipped marginally after a volatile week, with traders hoping for a US-Iran truce amid fresh attacks on Saudi Arabia's pipeline.
The WTI crude fell 1.09 points, or 1.15%, to $93.52 a barrel, while Brent crude declined 0.78 points, or 0.73%, to $105.80 a barrel.
The declines followed a sharp rebound in the previous session, with both contracts gaining as much as 5% on Thursday.
Negotiators are discussing a phased path that would see Tehran reopen the Strait of Hormuz and Washington lift its economic blockade of Iran.
