The global stock market declined yesterday as oil prices surged and US bond yields jumped due to renewed Middle East tensions and inflation concerns.

Brent crude climbed above $100 a barrel, while the US 10-year Treasury yield hit its highest level since 2007 at 5.11%.

Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian vowed that Tehran would not 'bend at the knee' to the US, as their stalled war drags on.

On Wall Street, the Dow Jones fell 0.68%, and the broader S&P 500 slid 0.75%, while the Nasdaq shed 1.13%.
