Oil Swings and US Bond Yields Weigh on Global Shares
Global shares were trading mixed on Thursday as investors weighed recent swings in oil prices and US bond yields.
The CAC 40 in France fell by nearly 0.8% to 8,061.10, while the German DAX declined 0.9% to 25,183.19.
In contrast, Japan's benchmark Nikkei 225 gained 0.8% to finish at 65,513.99, driven by a boost in chipmakers related to artificial intelligence interest.
US shares were set to drift lower, with Dow futures down 0.4% to 51,669.00 and S&P 500 futures dropped 0.6% to 7,725.75.
