Two oil tankers were struck by unknown projectiles on the Strait of Hormuz while tensions between Iran and the United States continue to escalate.

The UK Maritime Trade Operations Centre reported that one Saudi Arabian and one South Korean oil tanker were hit within minutes of each other on Monday night. No casualties or environmental impact have been reported, according to the organization.

The strikes followed President Donald Trump's warning of further escalation in the war with Iran. He stated in a TV interview that he planned to respond by hitting Iran 'hard.'
