OPEC+ Countries Agree to Maintain Production Amid Soaring Oil Prices
Seven major oil-exporting countries have agreed to maintain their production levels in November. The decision comes as global crude prices continue to soar above $100 a barrel due to ongoing tensions with Iran.
The OPEC+ subgroup, comprising Saudi Arabia, Russia, Iraq, Kuwait, Kazakhstan, Algeria, and Oman, made the announcement on Sunday. This group will reconvene on November 1 to review market conditions.
The conflict with Iran has been driving up oil prices since its inception in February, when US and Israeli forces launched attacks against the country.
