OPEC: Global Natural Gas Demand Set to Soar by 2050
OPEC has released its energy outlook, projecting that global natural gas demand will increase to over 91 million barrels of oil equivalent per day by 2050.
This represents a significant expansion in medium- and long-term consumption scale, with natural gas consolidating its position as a key player in the global primary energy mix.
The growth is driven mainly by emerging markets such as Asia, the Middle East, and Africa, where natural gas will serve as a feedstock for petrochemicals and power generation.
