Pakistan Gold Prices Skyrocket Amid Global Bullion Market Surge
Gold prices in Pakistan's local markets have surged following an international bullion market increase. In the global market, gold prices rose by $24 per ounce to reach $4,373 per ounce on Tuesday. The All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA) reports that gold prices in Pakistan increased significantly as a result.
The local price of gold per tola climbed to Rs459,736, up Rs2,400 from the previous day's rate. 10 grams of gold also rose by Rs2,058 to Rs394,149. Silver prices followed suit, increasing by Rs62 per tola to Rs6,965 and Rs53 to Rs5,971 for 10 grams.
On Saturday, the local price of gold had closed at Rs456,536, with a $20 premium on top of the international rate of $4,349 per ounce. The APGJSA provides daily rates for gold and silver in Pakistan's bullion markets.
