Pakistani Gold Prices Plummet by Rs800 Per Tola Amid Global Decline

Gold prices in Pakistan plummeted by Rs800 per tola on Tuesday following a decline in international bullion rates, according to the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association (APSGJA).

The price of 24-karat gold fell to Rs437,336 per tola, while the price of 10-gram gold dropped by Rs686 to Rs374,945.

The decline in prices was a result of a $8 drop in the international market, where gold settled at $4,148 per ounce. Local prices are benchmarked to global rates with a premium of $20 per ounce.

Silver rates also decreased by Rs20 to Rs6,558, and the 10-gram rate dropped by Rs17 to Rs5,622.
