Pakistan's Wheat Tender Attracts Offers from Major Trading Houses
Pakistan has received offers for its tender to purchase and import 185,000 metric tons of wheat, with Bunge submitting an offer of $339.36 a metric ton cost and freight (c&f) included.
The offer was made for around 60,000 tons, according to initial assessments from European traders.
The Trading Corporation of Pakistan (TCP), the state agency responsible for the tender, is still considering the offers and has not yet made a purchase.
A decision on the tender is expected in the coming days, although it comes at a challenging time for importers due to fighting that has brought seaborne Black Sea exports of cheap Russian and Ukrainian wheat to a near standstill.
