Paramount Gold Nevada Sees Significant Permitting Progress and Stronger Project Economics
Paramount Gold Nevada (PZG) made significant progress in its Mining Forum Americas 2026 presentation, outlining a sharper development path for its two main assets, Grassy Mountain and Sleeper. Management described major permitting progress and stronger project economics, citing a combined resource base of 5.7 million ounces of gold across both projects.
Grassy Mountain is close to final state permits, with management expecting them within three months and in the current calendar year. The updated feasibility study uses a $3,600 an ounce gold price and shows an after-tax net present value of about $400 million. Sleeper has emerged as a larger near-term opportunity, with an initial assessment study showing an after-tax NPV8 of $400 million at $3,600 gold and more than $800 million at $4,700 gold.
Paramount Gold Nevada's CEO Rachel noted that the past 18 months have been 'simply dramatic' for the company, as it advanced both projects and moved closer to key regulatory milestones. The company has focused on community engagement in Malheur County, Oregon, where Grassy Mountain is located, with a strategy including job creation, support for law enforcement, and wildfire prevention resources.
