Petrobras has signed a long-term liquefied natural gas (LNG) purchase and sale agreement with Cheniere Marketing, LLC.
The contract provides for Petrobras to buy 0.8 million tonnes per annum of LNG from Cheniere over a period of 22 years.
This move reflects Petrobras' strategy to reduce its exposure to the volatility of the LNG spot market and strengthen natural gas portfolio risk management.
