Precious Metals and Yuan See Slight Gains Amid Global Market Shifts
International gold and silver prices closed higher on Wednesday, marking an upward trend in the precious metals market.
The New York Mercantile Exchange saw gold futures for December delivery rise by 1.26 percent to settle at $4,387.50 per ounce, while silver futures for December delivery gained 1.66 percent to close at $64.919 per ounce.
The Chinese currency, the renminbi or yuan, also strengthened against the US dollar on Thursday, with its central parity rate rising by 48 pips to 6.758. This increase is within the allowed 2 percent fluctuation range in China's spot foreign exchange market.
