Work has resumed on QatarEnergy's North Field East (NFE) gas megaproject, which will significantly boost Qatar's liquefied natural gas (LNG) production capacity. The project's contract worth $13 billion is held by Chiyoda and Technip Energies. This expansion aims to increase Qatar's LNG production to 110 million tons per annum (tpa), making it a major player in the global energy market.

The North Field, one of the world's largest gas fields, holds approximately 9.1 trillion cubic meters of reserves. The NFE project is a crucial component of QatarEnergy's strategy to increase its LNG production capacity and meet growing global demand for cleaner-burning fuels.
