Reiners Elected Chairman of USGBC Board
The U.S. Grains & BioProducts Council elected Jay Reiners as its new chairman at its annual summer meeting in Milwaukee, WI. The Nebraska Corn Board executive lived near Juanita, Nebraska, where he farmed corn and soybeans with his wife for 35 years before retiring from farming to consult in the industry.
Reiners previously served on the Council's Western Hemisphere A-team and Asia A-team for four years each and was chairman for the Nebraska Corn Board. He shared his goals for the year, including 'Feeding and Fueling the World,' during his incoming remarks.
'We have a responsibility to feed and fuel the world, and we ensure that our products, U.S. corn, sorghum, barley, ethanol, and DDGS, are the best in the world and keep getting better,' Reiners said.
