Reiners Takes Helm at USGBC, Vows to Enhance Global Agricultural Leadership
Jay Reiners of the Nebraska Corn Board has been elected as the new chairman of the US Grains & BioProducts Council (USGBC) board of directors. The election took place during the organization's 66th Annual Board of Delegates Meeting.
Reiners, a retired farmer and consultant, expressed his gratitude for the trust placed in him to lead the organization. He emphasized the importance of feeding and fueling the world with high-quality US corn, sorghum, barley, ethanol, and DDGS exports.
The delegates also elected Jay Fischer as vice chairman and Jon Rosenstiel as secretary-treasurer. Jennie Schmidt was re-elected, while Mike LeFever and Hagan Rose were elected as at-large director and ethanol sector director, respectively.
