Rising Wheat Prices and Drought-Like Situation Threaten Pakistan's Agriculture

Khalid Khokhar, an expert in the field of agriculture and economy, expressed his concerns about the current state of Pakistan's agricultural sector.

In an interview with Aaj English TV, Khokhar highlighted the rising prices of wheat, which have reached Rs. 43,000 per ton. He attributed this increase to a decline in sugar exports, citing that the country is producing less sugar than before due to low yields and high production costs.

Khokhar emphasized that the government needs to address these issues to prevent an agricultural crisis in the country. He also mentioned that farmers are facing significant losses due to the drought-like situation and the subsequent decline in crop yields.
