Riverside County residents are facing higher gas prices for the 32nd consecutive day, according to recent figures from AAA and Oil Price Information Service.

The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Riverside County has risen 2 cents to $6.075, its highest amount since May 12. This surge is part of a larger trend that has seen prices increase by 55.5 cents over the past 32 days.

This rise in gas prices is attributed to 'Middle East oil supply concerns,' according to Kandace Redd, senior public affairs specialist at the Automobile Club of Southern California. Oil prices have dropped somewhat from earlier this week but would need to decrease significantly more to affect pump prices locally.
