Rosneft scientists have created a digital service for monitoring oil production. The 'virtual flow meter' uses machine learning technologies to calculate oil inflow figures in just 10 seconds per well.

The new service, developed by Bashneft and the Rosneft Scientific Institute in Ufa, automatically exchanges data with the PH-VEGA corporate software package.

A trial operation has confirmed the high reliability and accuracy of the tool, which is currently helping specialists optimize production at one of Bashneft's fields.
