Russia Dominates Wheat Exports to Kyrgyzstan

Russia has surpassed Kazakhstan as Kyrgyzstan's largest supplier of wheat, according to recent statistical data.

The volume of Russian wheat exports to Kyrgyzstan increased by a significant margin since the beginning of 2026, with Russia now accounting for 76.4% of all wheat imported into the country.

In January through May, the value of Russian exports to Kyrgyzstan totaled $1.39 billion, while the volume of Russian wheat supplies rose from 39,369 tons worth over $8 million to 178,968 tons valued at $39.065 million.

Kazakhstan, which was previously Kyrgyzstan's largest supplier, has fallen to second place with exports totaling 55,131 tons worth $12.604 million.
