Russia Offers to Help Iran Export Oil Amid US Sanctions
Russia has offered to help Iran export oil, which could potentially undermine US sanctions against the country. Iran's budget relies on earning around $30 billion from oil and gas condensate exports this year.
However, Europe's Instex payment system is still not operational, making it difficult for European countries to purchase Iranian oil without running afoul of US sanctions.
Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov said that Russia would be willing to assist Iran in exporting its oil and even help with the country's banking sector, which has been struggling to process payments due to US sanctions.
