Russia Wheat Exports to Uzbekistan Soar by 15.9-Fold

Russia's wheat exports to Uzbekistan have surged dramatically in the first eight months of this year. According to data from Agroexport, a federal centre and partner of TV BRICS, Russia exported over 71,000 tonnes of wheat worth more than $12.6 million to Uzbekistan between January and August 2026.

This represents a significant increase compared to the same period in 2025, with exports rising by nearly 16 times in volume terms and around 13.4 times in value terms.

The bulk of these shipments occurred in August, when over 65,000 tonnes of wheat were sent from Russia to Uzbekistan. This marked a record high for monthly shipment volumes in the period observed, surpassing the previous record set in September 2022 at 11,000 tonnes.
