Russian Gasoline Market Still Faces Regional Supply Pressures
Russia's domestic fuel situation has shown signs of improvement, but regional supply challenges persist. Despite efforts to boost fuel distribution, several areas continue to experience difficulties due to logistics and seasonal demand.
According to Russia's deputy prime minister, the government is closely monitoring fuel inventories and working with oil producers, refiners, and regional administrations to improve deliveries. Additional fuel shipments have been sent to areas experiencing shortages, particularly during the agricultural season when demand for diesel and gasoline rises.
The Russian gasoline market has periodically experienced localized supply issues despite its large oil production capacity. Refinery maintenance, transportation bottlenecks, and increased seasonal fuel consumption can create temporary shortages in certain regions. Agriculture and freight transportation remain among the sectors most affected by fuel availability.
